Necromancer in the End of the World - Chapter 74:
Chapter 74: Suspicious Clouds (2/2)
Ye Yang wanted to retreat, but he could still return to the previous cave?
For a moment, he felt that he had also made a faint move.
He hurriedly controlled the “Underworld Acid Mist” and drifted forward, blocking the poisonous smoke and fog.
“A lot of mental energy wasted…”
Ye Yang saw the black smoke dissipate in front of him, and more giant ants came from the many passage openings, not afraid of death. He took many skeletons, carrying guns and ammunition back to the cave where he fell, and the pangolin and the skeletons guarded the exit of the cave.
Ye Yang injected himself with an injection of a precious excitement drug.
“Phantom Acid Mist!!!”
A large, dense yellow-green mist spread over the area in front of the pangolin and the skeleton, covering a larger area than before, the concentration of the acid mist was higher than before, and only a small narrow passage with a lighter mist would allow the giant ants to see the state of this side, drawing the giant ants to continue attacking towards this side.
The effect was also remarkable, no matter which passage opening the giant ants rushed out from, they would be covered by the acid mist in the first place, and within a short period of time, they would etch off their armour. When they rushed in front of the skeletons, they would be able to cut them into serious wounds with just a casual slash.
Although Ye Yang was happy that his upgrade energy was rapidly increasing, but after a short while, he was just dizzy.
The wider the coverage of the “Phantom Acid Mist” and the higher the concentration, the greater the consumption of mental energy. As long as they were maintained so that they didn’t dissipate, they would continue to consume mental energy.
However, sleep can restore mental energy.
In other words, it was feasible to maintain the acid mist from dissipating while sleeping and condensing in a fixed location.
“If you can’t hold it and there is danger approaching, wake me up immediately.” Ye Yang gave an order to that pangolin.
As for those skeletons… after Ye Yang fell asleep, they wouldn’t take the initiative to fight, but they could be ordered to stand in place, and if they were attacked by giant ants, they would naturally fight back with their chopper pipes.
Ye Yang, on the other hand, retreated back into the cave and climbed onto the sand pile.
Looking up to see the gap he had fallen down.
“There shouldn’t be a lack of oxygen here, right?”
As long as there are no more open fires burning nearby for long sustained periods of time, it is unlikely to result in a large accumulation of carbon dioxide, and it should be safe to sleep here.
“If you find a fire nearby, wake me up immediately.” Ye Yang gave the pangolin another order, and then closed his eyes and exhaled to sleep.
After an unknown amount of time, he was awakened by a strong stench.
When he opened his eyes, the surroundings were quiet.
The phantom acid mist was still enveloping the outside, but no giant ants could be seen crawling out of the various tunnel openings, while the hole outside was littered with various ant corpses.
“Fortunately, they don’t have any individual strengths that are particularly outstanding.”
Before Ye Yang fell asleep, he was most worried that one or two speedy mutant giant ants would emerge from among those giant ants, like Cat-woman, it was possible to quickly pass through the acid fog area and smash the skeleton, or even threaten Ye Yang’s safety.
However, no such giant ants were encountered.
Ye Yang breathed a little bit of relief and took a glance at the system menu.
“LV3 corpse resurrection, skill proficiency is full, LV2 skeleton summoning proficiency is also full. There’s still a tiny bit of upgrade energy left before I can raise my level to LV6 Necromancer…”
He dispelled the “phantom acid fog” to avoid wasting his mental energy. As he took out the food and ate it slowly, he asked the pangolin to use his tongue to cut open the corpses of the giant ants.
Some special mutant ants can find “energy crystal nucleus” in their bodies, don’t know what attribute it is, so Ye Yang put it away first.
“So many passageway openings… which way should we go?”
Ye Yang wet his fingers with water and placed them at the various passageway entrances, feeling as if there was a slightly cool breeze flowing in a certain direction, suspiciously like an exit. Strangely enough, there was a weird voice coming from the front faintly.
“Air flow, heading this way, you should be able to get out of the giant ant nest back to the ground, right?”
The ghostly mist was shrouded in ghosts, and he went all the way, but Ye Yang realized that something was wrong before he had gone too far.
The place was actually sloping down, and there were actually densely packed giant ants in front of him, forming a square formation, like they were guarding something.
On both sides of the passage, there was a bright glowing bead, and at the end of ten meters away, there was actually a huge metal door, with upright strange giant ants and ant-headed monsters on both sides of the door guarding it. The door didn’t close very well, and there was a miserable human scream coming from inside that sounded painful.
