Harry Potter: Dark Alchemy - Chapter 99:
Chapter 99: Map of Living Points
Wright instantly withdrew the floating spell attached to the shadow energy under his feet, and his entire body instantly fell down under the pull of gravity. When he was almost close to the ground, Wright cast another floating spell on himself quickly, and then gently landed on the ground.
Fred and George exchanged a stunning look.
“As much as I hate to admit it.”
“But this hand of yours seems to make you even cooler.”
“As expected, he was a student who made flying broomsticks in the first grade.”
“There shouldn’t be any student in the school who has mastered the floating spell better than you!”
Fred and George said with one voice.
“Well, you guys haven’t answered my question yet?” Wright came over to the twins and said, “How did you get to school now when tomorrow is not the official end of vacation time?”
“If you want to know why we come to school now.”
“You should find the reason from yourself.”
“It was after the second extracurricular activity of the Black Magic Defence Art class.”
“Someone promised to teach us the manufacturing techniques of flying broomsticks.”
“It’s just that we saw that you seemed a bit unhappy during that time.”
“That’s why I didn’t come to see you.”
“So Fred and George you are now trying to learn how to make flying brooms?” Wright walked towards the castle with the Weasley twins, “Then you’ll earn a little more than last time, because I recently learned another hand from Mrs. Hodge, which means that the original technique I promised to teach you is once again up to date.”
“That’s cool! Wright you are simply fantastic!”
“However, we didn’t exactly come to you to learn the technique of making flying brooms.”
“Actually, the last time I blackmailed you.”
“We felt deeply troubled in our conscience.”
“After a long time of thinking and agonizing.”
“We finally came to a decision.”
“That is, not to ask for your knowledge for nothing.”
“We’ll trade it for secrets of equal value to ourselves.”
George and Fred’s words surprised Wright a little.
Wright stopped himself and looked to the side at the Weasley twins. This time Wright suddenly found something a little embarrassing, the other day he thought he just couldn’t tell who was who among the house elves in the kitchen, but in fact he couldn’t tell George and Fred apart until now.
“You trade your own worth of secrets?” Wright glanced at the red hair on his right and then at the red hair on his left.
“Yes, we thought for a long time, and finally decided to come to you at this time.” The red hair on the right hand blinked, let’s consider him Fred.
“Let’s follow us into the hall first, it seems that there is no one in the school at this time.” The red hair on the left hand side looked at Wright with a grin, even if he was George.
Wright followed behind the twins and together they walked into the auditorium. As George suspected, the auditorium was empty at this time, even the school’s professors did not come to the auditorium for lunch at this time.
Wright and the twins sat together at the long Gryffindor table, and as to why it wasn’t the long Ravenclaw table, it was because the twins said that the exchange of gifts required a certain amount of ceremony.
“So what’s the secret you guys are preparing?” Wright looked at the twins curiously, he didn’t think the current twins could come up with any secrets of equal value to the crafting techniques of the flying broom.
“It’s the secret of our success.” Fred pulled out something from his arms in an extremely exaggerated pose and placed it on the long table.
It was a large square parchment paper, nothing written on the surface, the edges and corners look very worn. Wright glanced at the parchment, then at the twins.
“No?” Wright thought darkly, “Why didn’t I think of this, the live dot map.”
“This, of course, is the secret to our success.” George gently brushed the parchment cover.
“We can’t really give it to you,” Fred also looked at the parchment paper on the tabletop, a look of great treasure in his eyes, “but who made us Weasley? Mom and Dad taught us from a young age not to take things from others for free.”
“Although we haven’t read everything that is written on it,” George pushed the parchment paper in front of Wright and said: “but in our opinion, the only thing that can be of equal value to the Moon Dream’s production technology in our possession is this.”
“You know, for this matter, we have specially put off the performance of the eccentric sisters.” Fred said.
“So, what is this thing anyway?” Wright took the parchment paper and looked at George and Fred with feigned confusion.
“Oh, we forgot about this,” Fred closed his eyes, as if he couldn’t bear to see this thing being forwarded. “You can explain it, George.”
“That’s it,” George said. “When we were in the first grade, Wright, you know, like you now, young and innocent, carefree.”
“But there was another extremely scary arch-demon in the school, and that was Filch, the keeper of the castle.”
“Once we had a little awkwardness with Filch, you know, for some reason, the small movements of the students often annoyed Filch,” George said. “So he dragged us to his office. Here, threaten us with old-fashioned words.”
“Just as Filch left on a short notice, we came across a drawer in his office on a filing cabinet labelled ‘Confiscated Items, Highly Dangerous’.”
“Naturally the gallant Gryffindor was not afraid of this little bluff, and we found this from his drawer,” George drew his wand and tapped the parchment on his desk, “This little darling has taught us so much more than anything our teacher has ever handed us.”
George squared his expression and said in an extremely serious tone, “I solemnly swear that I will not do good deeds.”
In an instant, thin lines of ink spread like a spider’s web from where the tip of George’s staff had been dotted, interconnecting and crisscrossing, expanding to every corner of the parchment.
Then the words showed up at the top, in large, dark green, flowery letters.
Moon face, Worm tail, Big foot and Pointy Fork.
Gentlemen dedicated to the help of magical mischief makers introducing Map of the Living Spot.
Wright leaned down in amazement and looked at the map that mapped out all the details of Hogwarts castle and grounds.
Dumbledore was pacing in the principal’s room, Filch and his cat were resting in the caretaker’s office, Hagrid walked towards the hut from the forbidden forest with Fang, and Lu Wei’s name appeared on the hut. Most of the other faculty members also appeared on the map. As Wright expected, there was no Professor Kilo’s name on the map.
There were many other unknown dark passages, indicated by lines leading to the same location – Hogsmeade direction.
